The Trust has been providing volunteer service in the area of education.
D.A. Pandu Memorial R.V. Dental College was founded in 1992. It was previously affiliated to Bangalore University & presently to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is acknowledged by the Dental Council of India. It is located in the D.A. Pandu Memorial R.V. Dental College & Hospital is housed in a spacious facility that is equipped with the latest technology to treat Dental and Oral Diseases. It is the D.A. Pandu Memorial R.V. Dental College has a solid academically educated faculty in all areas of Dentistry with a wealth of experiences.
The College offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, which lasts for 5 years which includes one year of obligatory rotating training. At present, the College provides instruction in the BDS level (Bachelor of Dentistry). The College offers postgraduate courses covering all nine areas of dentistry.
The College is involved specifically in the area of Community Dental Health Programme in rural areas. The specifics of this program have been made available. Our College was among the first to be equipped with a Mobile Dental Van in Bangalore city. The equipment was provided from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, USA. The goal of the program was to expose students to the rural setting of our country. It also enables them to be employed in rural areas following their graduation. The College has held several continuing dental education classes with lectures and workshops that include diverse National & International Speakers, allowing our students and faculty to learn about the most recent advancements.
It is equipped with periodicals, books as well as Photocopying, Scanning, and printing capabilities. The facility to browse the Internet is also accessible. Computers & laptops are provided throughout the Departments. This whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Faculty members of the Institution have presented research papers at National & International conferences & also published articles in Journals with international and national notoriety. The Institution has successfully completed research projects, including one that UNICEF and DRDO funded.
The Trust is determined to create this center as a model of training within the field of Community Oral health Programme so that professionals and health workers from all across the globe can benefit from the facilities and collaborate with local health professionals to benefit Humanity.
In this way, the College has been acknowledged as a member of the CAMHADD collaborative center. The department of Pedodontics has set up a unique health program for school children that involves students in Hosur, supported by the TVS group. The department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry has created an exclusive school oral Health program available in and around Bangalore and within the Tuticorin and Tirunelveli districts in Tamil Nadu.
