About College
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is one of Bengaluru’s older private engineering colleges. It was set up in August 1979 by the Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha, and its campus is on K.R. Road, V.V. Puram, in the heart of south Bengaluru (PIN 560004). BIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by AICTE, and has NBA-accredited programmes. Its central location, close to the K.R. Market and National College metro stations, makes it easy to reach from most parts of the city.

Admission in Bangalore Institute of Technology Bangalore 2027
BIT fills its B.E. seats in three ways. Most students come through KCET (government seats, through KEA counselling) or COMEDK UGET (private-quota seats open to students from any state). The rest are management quota seats, which the college fills directly. BIT is often a realistic option for students whose rank is just outside the RVCE, BMSCE and MSRIT cut-offs.

Bangalore Institute of Technology Admission Procedure 2027:
1. Undergraduate Level – Duration 4 years
- Eligibility: pass in Class 12 (2nd PUC) or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or Electronics, with at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
- Routes: KCET, COMEDK UGET or the management quota. See our management quota guide.

2. Postgraduate Level – Duration 2 years
- M.Tech: a relevant B.E. or B.Tech, with admission through GATE or Karnataka PGCET.
- MBA and MCA: a bachelor’s degree with the required marks, with admission through PGCET, KMAT or other accepted tests.
3. Ph.D. Level
